When I was diagnosed during my sophomore year, I felt completely alone. I didn't know anyone else going through something similar, and navigating SDS felt overwhelming. Joining DAU changed that — I found people who understood, and I learned how to advocate for myself in ways I never thought possible.

I use a wheelchair, and for a long time I just accepted that some buildings on campus were inaccessible. Through DAU, I learned that I didn't have to accept that — and that there were others willing to push for change alongside me. We've made real progress, and I'm proud of what we've accomplished together.
